MEET JORDIE

PROFESSIONAL OVERVIEW
I grew up in the small town of Chappaqua, NY, about 30 miles north of New York City. After high school, I attended the University of Wisconsin and studied Advertising. I had a great time in Madison and loved meeting people from all over the Midwest, cheering on the Badgers, and eating my share of bratwurst! During college summers, my buddy and I painted houses and I fell in love with the life of an entrepreneur. I was hooked and addicted to being my own boss.
After graduating, I moved back home and my brother and I started a venture with Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente’s family to bring youth baseball players to Puerto Rico for weeklong training camps. It was a blast and we even saw a handful of campers make it to the pros. We later ran a similar camp for the New York Rangers to bring youth hockey players from the U.S. to Canada. We launched a variety of other businesses during the years before I started 7 Eagle Group in 2014.
Supporting Veterans has been my true calling and passion. I only wish I started this much earlier in my career. In 1997 I made the best decision of my life and married my close childhood friend, Ellen. We now live in the college town of Amherst, Massachusetts, with our two amazing kids, Malina age 19, Eli age 13, and two crazy dogs . When I’m not working, I love doing anything with my family…especially, hiking, biking, and traveling.
 The GI Bill paid for my dad’s education at Brown U. He was always grateful for that opportunity because his parents didn’t have much money. He was a straight-A student and captain of the baseball team. He even played against George Bush, Sr. who attended Yale U. Dad said Bush was a smooth fielder, but couldn’t hit a lick! He played pro ball with the Cleveland Indians and advanced to their AA Club before hanging up the cleats. His first contract was for a whopping $250/year! His folks couldn’t believe that he wanted to be a ballplayer after earning a prestigious college degree. |  Dad served as an Army Scout and conducted small team missions ahead of the main troops and reported back on the enemy positions. He claimed he never actually saw combat, but after watching a WWII documentary about the Battle for Manilla, I’m pretty sure he was just holding back and protecting us from the horrors of war. I regret I didn’t ask more questions while he was alive. I remember asking him if he ever considered not enlisting. “No way,” he declared. “Every kid in the neighborhood including all my friends and high school classmates signed up immediately after Pearl Harbor. That was our duty. We never regretted it and it was a great honor to fight for our country. NBC television anchor, Tom Brokaw, was spot on…truly a “great generation!” |
 Dad grew up in a poor neighborhood in South Boston with immigrant parents (Spanish was his first language). In 1942, at age 17, he left the city limits for the first time in his life for the Philippines. I remember him telling me about how scared he and his best buddy were to be heading off to fight at such a young age, but grateful they were getting shipped out together. “We shared the same single cot on the ship because neither of us wanted to be alone. We were shaking the entire ride over,” he said. |  Our daughter, Malina, is a sophom*ore at Connecticut College in New London, CT (directly across the street from the Coast Guard Academy!). I remember like it was yesterday bringing her home from the hospital 19 years ago…wow, did that fly by! She’s such an amazing kid and I’m so proud of her (even though I miss her so much!). |
 My in-laws are incredibly generous and invite us to their Block Island, RI, vacation home for two weeks every August. It’s a beautiful island and we have such a great time with my sister-in-law’s family. |  I love hanging with our 13-year old son, Eli. He’s a great athlete who loves boxing, basketball, and wrestling. He took me mountain biking this summer at a local ski resort. The highlight for him was watching his old man do his best “Superman” impression as I went flying over the handle bars attempting a jump…so glad I rented that helmet! |

I served 24 years in the United States Marine Corps as a Communications Chief. Along with the leadership, I have also managed large computer networks across the globe. I am currently working on my bachelors degree in Business Management and should be finished by the end of 2024. I have a wife of 22 years and 4 kids, I also just had my first granddaughter. I was raised in Venice Florida and played numerous sports in between frequent trips to local beaches. upon graduating from high school, I enlisted into the USAF. I enlisted “open general” and volunteered for the Pararescue career field and fortunately gradated. Having been stationed in places like Iceland, Alaska, Ft. Walton Beach and Valdosta Georgia I elected to transfer to the Air National Guard in Westhampton Beach Long Island New York. There I served for 7 years and met my wife Erica and began a family to include my 2 children Brendan and Charlotte. Upon my retirement I attained my Batchelor’s degree at St. Joseph’s college. I look forward to continuing my career with 7 Eagle Group and the professional experiences it will offer.

I have proudly served in the Air Force for almost 20 years. During the first nine years, I worked in Fuels (POL). For the last ten and a half years, I was employed in Air Force Recruiting. I held various roles throughout my tenure, including Enlisted Accessions Recruiter, Health Professions Recruiter, and Recruiting Flight Chief (supervisor).
Outside of work, I enjoy playing softball, disc golf, hiking, and mountain biking.
