A little late in posting this, but wanted to share the State Charter Board approved Mountain Sunrise Academy, a public Waldorf charter school to open in 2020! This has been a 3 year project to get this far and we are thrilled to be moving forward! Our school will be built in Saratoga Springs in North Utah County. Our 211 page application for Mountain Sunrise Academy, a public Waldorf Charter in North Utah County, has been submitted to the Utah State Charter Board! Two mayors in our target area and a board member of the Alpine School District have sent in letters of recommendation, for which we are grateful! Our final interview and presentation will take place mid-January and the State Charter Board will vote the following day. Thank you for your encouragement and support!

Our proposal for a Waldorf Charter School in Utah County was approved by the Utah State Charter Board! We've been invited to submit a full application and will have another interview with the State Charter Board in January. If approved we will be able to open a K-8 Waldorf Charter School in North Utah County in 2020!

You're invited to the Utah Waldorf Whole Child Education Conference August 10-11!At our last conference we had participants from 7 states, so all are welcome!This is a hands on, experiential conference for all parents and teachers. Participants will be sculpting human and animal forms out of clay, creating a needle felted tapestry, doing eurythmy, drawing their own main lesson book pages, folk dancing "Tinikling," learning about Steiner's "12 senses," hearing a peg puppetry story, participating in a Summer Circle Time, and many other activities with Master Waldorf Teacher, Thesa Callinicos who has taken 4 classes through the grades, and many other accomplished presenters!The conference has been intentionally planned to be affordable so all can attend while still offering high quality instruction.Schedule & Tickets at utahwaldorf2018.eventbee.com
